Today is the day... by laurpats on StorybirdWebsite: StorybirdMy First Storybird: Today is the day...Today is the first time I have ever seen or experienced 'Storybird'. The second I opened the site, I could tell that I would love it as a result of the way it set up and the organization of the site. Following signing up, I began to create my first 'Storybird;, a book titled "Today is the day...". I instantly fell in love with the options I had for graphics and how easy the site was to use! As a person who loves finding new creative outlets that I can use on the computer, I am so happy that I was introduced to this site. While I am in Primary Junior, I hope to be teaching in a class in the Primary level and this site would absolutely be something that I would use with my students. I think they would enjoy being able to create a story online either as a class, independetly or with a peer and it is straightforward to use which is also a huge strength. While I am personally in love with this site and know that I will use it both inside and outside of the classroom, I recognize that 'Storybird' may not be the best source for higher grades. When choosing the illustrations there are restrictions that must be followed, this could be seen as limited opportunities for creativity. Nevertheless, I think that all students would enjoy using this site!I cannot wait to download my first book! Thanks so much for introducing this site!
